THE GREAT McGONAGALL will give his Inimitable Performance from “MACBETH,” &c. Music, Songs, &c. by other Gentlemen. Admission 1s; Reserved Seats 2s, by Ticket only, from Knobler & Son, North Bridge. Mr McGONAGALL and PARTY will appear in Morningside Drive Hall on MONDAY, 5th Nov., at 8. Tickets at Morningside Post Office.
Unquestionably the Edinburgh folks are to be envied. With Henry Irving playing to them all week, and McGonagall to-morrow they should just about understand “that fellow Shakespeare.” They will of course naturally be inclined to institute comparisons, but with all due deference to Mr Irving, we do not hesitate to say that his personation of “Macbeth” is not to be compared with McGonagall’s.
